Tip Of The Month E5

Tip Of The Month-September 9, 2016

This is a soldering tip. Charcoal blocks, can’t live without them. I use them for a lot of soldering jobs, like most of my nose rings. The handy thing about them is you can drill and carve into them. I drill holes for earring posts and nose stud stems and then insert the wire and construct the design on top. You can also carve into the charcoal to set tubing for hinges in, so that they have the same thickness of tubing is on  both sides of the pieces you are attaching them to.

Tip Of The Month E4

Tip Of The Month- August, 17, 2016

This is an important tip!

Get yourself THE BEST TOOLS you can afford!

I just broke my cheap little third hand, you know the little weighted stand with a ball joint that holds a pair of cross locking tweezers.

I was looking for something better and found this at RIO GRANDE!

3rd and 4th hand with soldering station. It is a little expensive but I don’t know what I would do without it now that I have been using it!

all parts are replaceable, down to the tips on the clips, and the fire board.

Just testing out the new rolling mill. I will be using it a lot! These pieces of copper and brass have been rolled in the mill with pieces of antique lace.

I can’t wait to finish this necklace, the leaves I plan to roll the silver with are drying.
